Care Commission to introduce a Grading Scheme (18/03/2008)
The Care Commission plans to improve information about service inspections so that people can make informed choices about the services they want to use. A "grading system" will be introduced from 1st April 2008, after which inspections will award grades on the quality of services provided. The six point grading scale will be as follows:-
6 (excellent), 5 (very good), 4 (good), 3 (adequate), 2 (weak), and
1 (unsatisfactory)
