Care Commission
Definition: The Care Commission regulates housing support services in Scotland
The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care (The Care Commission) was established in 2002 as the independent regulator set up to regulate care and housing support services in Scotland. These services have to register with The Care Commission, which then regularly inspects them, investigates complaints, and can take enforcement action if necessary. See also National Care Standards.
