BME is an abbreviation for Black & Minority Ethic, a term used to describe people who are from black, asian or other minority ethnic groups and specialist services for these people. Specialist cultural and ethnic services are needed to address the additional support needs that people can face due to language difficulties, discrimination, harassment etc.
