Who ensures that services are good ones?
The Supporting People staff in your local Council monitor the housing support services with which they have service contracts, and inspect them to ensure that they are effective and provide a quality service.
All housing support services must register with The Care Commission which also inspects the support service against specific "Care Standards". These standards describe the rights of people who use a service, such as the rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
Registered social landlord's that provide accommodation with support also have their housing aspects regulated by Communities Scotland.
